2020 Year in Review

While many of us are happy to leave 2020 behind and head into a new year with some new optimism we can’t leave 2020 in the dust with so many accomplishments to be proud of. At Game Ready we added some new Coaches to our staff, said farewell to a Coach and one of our Coaches also hit a major milestone, while our teams like the NT Freeze, knocked it out of the park!

Our Hyland Jaguars Hockey teams made a great showing at their final tournaments and made their mark on Silver Sticks for the 2019-2020 season. We are so proud of what these teams have accomplished and we’re happy to continue working with them as 2020 has progressed. While this year’s hockey season has had it’s ups and downs, we are as determined as ever to make 2021 the best year yet. #GoJags

Before COVID hit, the NT Freeze Softball Team traveled to their first spring tournament and came away with the win! These girls came, saw, and conquered on the field after spending a winter with us training hard in the off season. Each and every day, these young ladies put in the effort to increase their fitness and strength, and we are proud of them for how that shined in their tournament.

Fall of 2020 also brought the Colorado Impact Gold Softball Team within the Game Ready Team too. Jason’s Team has been a fun addition…not to mention hard-working…and we can’t wait to see what they’re capable of in 2021!

Let’s not forget that in 2020 we also hit a major milestone in our business – we moved into our own designated space!! Our partners and friends at CrossFit MOB embody and believe in the same fitness and wellness principles that Game Ready Fitness was founded on. We are proud to stand shoulder to shoulder as we offer our programs side by side…So ask us how you can get involved while your young athlete is working out with GR!

We couldn’t do what we do with such passion and energy with out our Best in Class Staff. We welcomed Coaches Jenna, Christian, Jeff and Adrian to our staff and also said farewell to Coach Jess as she moved earlier this summer out of state. Two of our 2019 mainstay Coaches, Tyler and Dan also had to switch gears to focus on other priorities in their lives; we’re thankful for their time and energy while we had them!

Most prominently in our staff though, we want to give a warm shout out and congratulations to Coach Cory! Coach Cory has been with us since day 1 and has always done all of the little things right – coming prepared, showing up on time every time, asking great questions and staying two steps ahead of us – all while pursuing his dream of becoming a Fire Fighter. Well, even among the craziness of 2020, Cory was able to fulfill that dream and has recently graduated from Fire Academy. He will be working with Front Range Fire! While Fire School took him away from our schedule for a little while, we are excited that he will be back in action when he can be with his new schedule. Cory – our sincerest congratulations! HARD WORK PAYS OFF, SIR!

In case you didn’t catch it, Coach Trevor also received our Coaching Excellence Award this fall. He’s been an integral part of our staff and culture since the earliest days and brings his best to our hockey programs! Thanks, Trevor, for the many years of your dedicated time and energy!

We are energized by the accomplishments of 2020 despite the hurdles we’ve faced – and while COVID will be around for a while longer – we will never be dissuaded from learning, teaching and constantly sharing our knowledge with those who want to learn!

So bring on 2021 and everything it has to offer – we are ready…we are #GameReady!
