Frequently Asked Questions
Everything parents ask before their athlete's first session.
What is Game Ready Fitness?
Game Ready Fitness is a kids-only athletic performance gym in Thornton, Colorado. We train young athletes ages 6 and up using strength, speed, agility, and movement coaching, with nutrition guidance available. Our focus is general physical preparedness that helps kids perform in any sport, not sport-specific gimmicks.
Where is Game Ready Fitness located?
We are located at 12351 Grant Street, Unit 300, Thornton, CO 80241. You can reach us at (720) 594-6833.
What ages do you train?
We train youth athletes ages 6 and up across three tiers: Game Ready Fit (ages 6+), Game Ready Fast (ages 9+), and Game Ready Perform (ages 11+). Each tier matches the athlete's stage of development.
Is strength training safe for kids?
Yes. When it is coached properly and matched to a child's age and ability, youth strength training is safe and effective. At Game Ready Fitness, younger athletes start with functional fitness, bodyweight skills, and movement quality before progressing to loaded lifts. Our programs emphasize technique and injury prevention at every level.
What sports do you train athletes for?
Our athletes play football, baseball, basketball, soccer, hockey, softball, wrestling, tennis, and more. Because we build general athleticism first, the training carries over to any sport. A better all-around athlete gives their sport coach a stronger foundation to work with.
What is the difference between Game Ready Fit, Fast, and Perform?
Game Ready Fit (ages 6+) focuses on functional fitness, foundational strength, and injury prevention. Game Ready Fast (ages 9+) is a speed, agility, and plyometrics program built around explosiveness with minimal weights. Game Ready Perform (ages 11+) teaches the major lifts and Olympic lifting techniques to prepare athletes for high school competition.
What makes Game Ready Fitness different?
Most youth programs sell sport-specific training as if every kid will go pro. We don't. We build better all-around athletes through general physical preparedness, and we do the simple things well, consistently. Our coaching also teaches commitment, work ethic, and leadership that carry beyond the gym.
Do you offer nutrition coaching?
Yes. We offer performance nutrition coaching designed for young athletes to support strength, energy, and recovery, without restrictive dieting or calorie obsession.
Do you offer a free trial?
Yes. New athletes can book a free trial class to experience our coaching and movement screening before signing up. Call (720) 594-6833 or visit our website to reserve a spot.
How much does training cost?
We offer several membership options, including large group classes, small-group sessions, and private personal training, so families can choose what fits their athlete and budget. Pricing is shared at sign-up. The best way to start is with a free trial class.
